Gary Lynn Hege

Gary Lynn Hege, 67, of Lexington, passed away on March 7, 2024, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

Gary was born in Davidson County on September 19,1956 to Clarence Wesley Hege and Jacqualine “Jackie” Frank Hege.  He was a former employee of Stanley Furniture and a member of Good Hope Methodist Church.  He enjoyed farm life, NASCAR racing and college basketball.

He was preceded in death by his parents and left to cherish his memory is his sister, Brenda Matthews (Dwight) of Lexington and his nephews, Wesley Matthews (Fiancé, Katie), Brian Matthews, and Daniel Matthews (Michelle).

A funeral service to honor Gary will be held on Thursday, March 14 at 11AM at Good Hope Methodist Church with interment at Good Hope Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Lord officiating.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13 at 6-8PM at Davidson Funeral Home – Lexington.

Memorials may be made in Gary’s honor to Good Hope Methodist Church or to Hospice of Davidson County.
