Gary Hege

Gary Edward Hege, 74, of Lexington, passed away at Thomasville Medical Center on Sunday, June 28, 2026.

Gary was born in Davidson County on March 19, 1952 to Ralph A. Hege and Lunette Craver Hege. He worked as a pipe fitter for Luwa Bahnson. Gary got pleasure out of farming, fishing, racing, going out to eat and then to the flee market.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Hege, and nephew, Mike Hege.

He is survived by his wife Jane Hege; brother, Robert Hege; sisters, Shirley Hedrick (Danny), Elizabeth Lanier and Robin Parks Edwards.

A graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park on Thursday July 2, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home- Hickory Tree in Winston-Salem.
