Gary Hege

Gary Edward Hege, 74, of Lexington, passed away at Thomasville Medical Center on Sunday, June 28, 2026.

Gary was born in Davidson County on March 19, 1952, to Ralph A. Hege and Lunette Craver Hege. He worked as a pipe fitter for Luwa Bahnson. Gary got pleasure out of farming, fishing, racing, going out to eat and then to the flea market.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Hege, and nephew, Mike Hege.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Hege; brother, Robert Hege; sisters, Shirley Hedrick (Danny), Elizabeth Lanier and Robin Parks Edwards.

A graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington on Thursday July 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Lomax Skinner officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home- Hickory Tree in Winston-Salem.
