Gary Lee Hunt

Gary Lee Hunt, 62, of Hames Street, died Sunday, June 1, 2008, at Forsyth Medical Center, following an extended illness. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Davidson Funeral Home by the Rev. Keith Bruner. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Mr. Hunt was born June 10, 1945, in Davidson County, to Floyd Frederick Hunt and Lela Josephine Lanning Hunt. He was married to Sallie Hicks Hunt, who survives of the home. Also surviving are sons, Lonnie Hunt and wife, Angie, Terry Hunt and wife, Sharon, and Gary Lee Hunt Jr. and wife, Ellen, all of Lexington; 11 grandchildren, Tiffany Hunt, Heather Williams Morato, Savanna Hunt, Tieara Hunt, Travis Hunt, Haley Hunt, Cameron Hunt, Austin Hunt, Chris Minerd, Tamra Titman, and Lonnie Minerd; one great-grandchild, Halie Morato; a brother, Lloyd Hunt and wife, Sylvia, of Tyro; and three sisters, Jennie Wall and husband, Hal, of Mocksville, Judy Huffman and husband, George, of Reeds, and Linda Farmer and husband, Jerry, of Denton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
