Gary Wayne Kindley

Gary Wayne Kindley Sr, 78, of Denton, passed away Monday morning, April 15, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at 4:00 PM, in the Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel officiated by Rev. Josh Britton, Rev. Hulon Pait and Rev. Cindy Ramirez.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the funeral home.

Gary was born on September 2, 1945, in Davidson County to the late Jesse Wayne Kindley and Mary Lee Crouse Kindley. After high school, he served his country by joining the Army and later went to work for Rinker Materials, from which he retired. Gary was a proud veteran and had a deep love for his country. He was known for building unique birdhouses and was on Roy’s Folks on Channel 8 in 2019. Gary loved serving the Lord, and Faith and family were two cornerstones of his life. He was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather which earned him the title of “Pa”. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 58 years, Janice Markham Kindley, of the home; daughters, Cindy Ramirez, of Linwood, and Michelle Kindley Snider (Clinton), of Denton; son, Gary Wayne Kindley Jr. (Christine), of Clemmons; sisters, Marilyn Kindley Taylor (Rocky), of Denton, and Frances Kindley Lanier (Denton); eight grandchildren, Carrie Michelle Snider (Matthew), Jennifer Snider Hepler (Josh), Amanda Snider Davis (Jordan), Captain Benjamin Ramirez-Kindley (Molly), Gabriel Ramirez-Kindley, Dante Kindley, Darwin Kindley (Jessie), and Kira Kindley; and five great grandchildren, Skylar Hepler, Raylin Hepler, Tatum Hepler, Raleigh Davis, and Renlee Davis.
