Gary E. Mabe

Gary E. Mabe, 71, of Old Highway 52 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 at his home.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday October 24, 2018 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel with Pastor Bobby Smith and Pastor David Parks officiating services. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park in Winston-Salem.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1 to 1:45 pm at the funeral home before the service.

Mr. Mabe was born June 14, 1947 in Wilkes County to Roy Estel Mabe and Flora Mae Anderson Mabe. Gary was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and was retired from Thomas Transfer. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving is his wife Betty Louise Church Mabe of the home; a son, Gary Wayne Mabe, of the home; two daughters, Pamela Church of Mocksville, North Carolina and Terrie Keck and husband Bob of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; two brothers, Randy Mabe and wife Becky, and Roy Lee Mabe, both of North Wilkesboro; and one sister, Barbara Gail Shumate and husband Dennis of North Wilkesboro; also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
