Gary Owens

Gary Richard Owens, 57, a resident of Lexington, passed away November 1, 2021 at his residence. Gary was born in Davidson County on September 19, 1964 to William Richard and Janice Sell Owens. He worked for R. Wayne Bost Trucking Company for many years. On June 26, 1999 he married Lori Bulla. Gary loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his dog, Hank. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, all sports, and listening to music. Gary attended The Arbor Lutheran Church in Lexington.

There will be a memorial service held by the family on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM in The Arbor Lutheran Church in Lexington, with Pastor Paul Harder and Pastor Jimmy Greene officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM at the church.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Lori Owens of the home; his parents, William and Janice Owens of Wallburg; sister, Debbie DeLapp (Scott); sisters-in-law, Alisa Greene (Jimmy) of Lexington and Jennifer Phelps (Ted) of Lexington; a nephew, Brandon; nieces, Mandy, Lauren, and Hailey (Phillip); great-nephew, Addison; great-nieces, Madelyn, Emma; special fur-baby, Hank; and special family friends, Sterling and Annette Shoaf and Julie Leonard.
