Norma Gay Whitlow Harold, 68 of Ridge Road, Lexington died Sunday at her home.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, at Bethesda United Methodist Church where she was a lifelong member. Rev. Doug Hochmuth will conduct the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Harold was born June 24, 1939 in Davidson County to Everette Whitlow and Willie Yokley Whitlow. She was a retired school teacher, having taught for 35 years, mostly in the Winston-Salem / Forsyth County Schools. Mrs. Harold was a Life Member of the National Education Association, a member of the Enterprise Chapter 363 Order of the Eastern Star, The Lexington Women’s Club, and was the Circle Chairman at her church.
Mrs. Harold is survived by her husband Ivan J. Harold of the home; two daughters Rebecca “Becky” Lynn Frenette and husband Gaylan of King, and Dorian Elizabeth Manning and husband Ken of Tampa, Fl., two grandchildren Brittany Lynn Frenette, and Gaylan Lee Frenette; and two sisters, Becky Ashmore and husband James of Lexington, and Martha Bellis and husband Edward of New Bern.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel and at other times at the home.
