Gayle King Hedrick

Gayle King Hedrick, born February 18, 1945, in Mullins, South Carolina, passed away on August 5, 2024, at her home in Lexington. Gayle, the daughter of Paul Kelly King and Violet Ford King, dedicated her career to teaching at Lexington City School. Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gary Brent Hedrick, Gayle leaves behind a loving family: her sons Devan Hedrick (Leslie), Daine Hedrick (Ashley), Josh Hedrick, and her daughter Anna Hedrick Flippen. She was a cherished grandmother to Emma, Haven, Harper, Siler, Ellis, Regan, and Rya. A celebration of Gayle's life will be held at Bethany Church on Saturday, August 10, at 4:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Dr. Michael Martin.
