Gene Curtis Beck

Gene Curtis Beck, age 64 of Lexington, NC celebrated his home going Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Lexington Medical Center.

Service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 2:00pm in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington, NC and burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery. Due to Covid restrictions, Mr. Beck will lie in state from 1:00 to 1:45pm, family will not be present.

Gene was born February 2, 1956 to Jacob and Mary Tussey Beck, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include his sister, Louise Beck Midkiff and husband Larry Midkiff, Kernersville, NC; and a brother, Bruce Wayne Beck, Charlotte, NC.  Extended family includes Eric and Rita Midkiff, Kernersville, NC, Tim and Jennifer Midkiff, Pfafftown, NC and Mike and Renee’ Alred, Kernersville, NC.

Gene was a life long resident of Lexington.  Gene loved to talk politics and engaged in lively conversation with friends.  He also loved to talk of his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and shared his faith.  At the nursing home where he lived for many years, he took every opportunity to witness and pray for residents at the home.

A special thank you to Frank Leonard, Max and Susan Grifith and Sammy Allison who were friends to Gene for many years with visits and prayers, and those who prayed for Gene for healing.  A special thank you to the staff of Lexington Medical Center ICU and Hospice of Davidson County for their compassion, kindness and care given to Gene
