Gene Cannon
October 12, 1927 — June 21, 2020
Calvin Eugene Cannon, 92, formerly of Spring St, died Sunday, June 21 at Woodland Hill Center in Asheboro.
A private burial will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Cannon was born October 12, 1927 in Davidson County to James Hobert Cannon and Lillie Mae Lamb Cannon. He faithfully served in US Army during World War II and retired from Parkdale Mills. His wife, Mattie Ruth Touchstone Cannon, and his brothers, Luther Lee Cannon and Robert Edward “Horsey” Cannon, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his stepdaughter, Mattie Tucker, of Greensboro and five grandchildren.
