Gene Todd, Sr.

Gene Allen Todd, Sr., a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran and devoted family man, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Salisbury National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Born in Loris, South Carolina, Gene was the son of Homer Todd and Sadie Pearl McGirt. Known for his strong will and doing things his own way, Gene also had a big heart and a deep desire to help others. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, and brother whose presence will be deeply missed. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Ann Maxwell.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Angela Todd, Jennifer Jeffries (Michael), and Gene Allen Todd, II (Kylia); his brother, Homer Gary Todd; his sister, Sandra Medlin; and seven beloved grandchildren: Levi, Jonathan, Jacob, Brittany, Chloe, Brayden, and Audrey, and two great grandchildren, Easton and Dakota.
