Genetta Wofford Sink

Genetta Wofford Sink, age 91, of Lexington passed away on Sunday, May 05, 2019 at the Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the Jersey Baptist Church Cemetery in Lexington with the Rev. Matt Riggsbee officiating.

The family will receive friend following the service and other times at the home.

Ms. Sink was born on August 16, 1927 in Davidson County to John Hugh Wofford and Annie Roach Wofford. She was retired from Lexington Furniture, having worked as a packer. She was an active member of Jersey Baptist Church where she was a member of the “Love in Action” Sunday School Class, Senior Citizens group and Lottie Moon Circle. Ms. Sink was a loving mother and will be cherished in the heart of her son forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Conrad Warfford and Marvin Wofford; and a sister, Kathleen Penninger.

Surviving are her loving son, Larry Sink and wife Tonie of Lexington; a sister-in-law, Pauline Warfford of Lexington; and a host of nieces and nephews.
