Geneva Miller Henderson Assad, 83, of Lexington Health Care and formerly of Hege Drive, Grimes Apartments, died Thursday afternoon, Aug. 3, 2006, at Lexington Health Care.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Denton by the Rev. Norman Henderson.
Mrs. Assad was born April 27, 1923, in Marlboro County, S.C., to George and Ada Cannon. She retired as a Home Health Care provider after 30 years of service and was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Joan Paige.
Surviving are her two sons, Michael Henderson and his life partner, Stephen McPherson, of Greensboro, and Joe Henderson and his wife, Mitzi, of Charlotte; one daughter, Phyllis Combs of Lexington; and 10 grandchildren, Rodney Combs and his friend, Geri Moore, Cinda Combs, Jeff Epley, Kevin Epley, Chuck Paige, Christy Paige, Chelsa Henderson, Zack Henderson, Nevada Henderson and Boston Henderson.
There will be no visitation, but friends may visit at home of the daughter at 486 Beaver Dam Creek Road.
