Geneva Harrelson

Geneva Temple Dawkins Harrelson age 88 of Lexington died Friday (02-10-2006) at 6:26 AM in Lexington Memorial Hospital Mrs. Harrelson was born August 24, 1917 in Davidson County to John Allen Temple and Malinda Leonard Temple. A homemaker, she was a member of First Alliance Church, and spent many years teaching the Adult Sunday School Class. She was also active for many years in the Davidson County Home Extension Clubs. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ervin Craven Dawkins in 1959, her second husband, Charles Meade Harrelson in 1981, and 5 brothers, Dewey Temple, Lester Temple, David Temple, Barney Temple and George Temple. She is survived by her daughters Virgie D. Shoaf, and Rotha J. Dawkins both of Lexington; Gale D. Yarbrough and husband James of Alpharetta, Ga. Grandchildren Craven Shumaker and wife Tamara of Suwanee, GA,; Bradley Shumaker of Greensboro; John Carlton Shoaf, II and wife Leigh, Daniel Shoaf and wife Jennifer, William P. Hunt and wife Faith all of Lexington; Malinda Joan Shoaf of Wilmington; and Rebekah Driggers and husband David of Wallburg. And 12 great grandchildren A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday at First Alliance Church conducted by Rev. Paul Titus. Burial will follow in the Beulah United Church of Christ Cemetery The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME MEMORIALS: To First Alliance Church Building Fund, 424 East Ninth Street, Lexington, NC 27295
