Geneva Mae Black Pardue age 88 of Winston Salem passed away Friday February 19, 2021 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House. A private graveside service will be at Richmond Hill Baptist Church Cemetery followed by a celebration of life at Christian Baptist Church at 2:00 pm Saturday February 27, 2021. Both services will be officiated by Pastor Sam Harvey. Mrs. Pardue will lie in state from 3-5 pm Friday February 26, 2021 at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel. The family will not be present.The family request social distancing and please wear a mask
Mrs. Pardue was born December 31, 1932 in Forsyth County to Gillen Grafton Black and Alice Williard Black. She was a homemaker. Her parents and husband,Robert Glenn Pardue as well as a daughter, Denise Pardue Welborn and a son, Robert Poindexter all preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Black and a sister, Emma Lee Darnell.
Surviving are a son, Steven Glenn Pardue of Winston Salem. Her daughters, Loretta Pardue Fredere (Jaimie) of Winston Salem and Melody Pardue Barnes (Ricky) of Lexington. Also surviving are a brother, Pete Black and sisters, Marilynn Patterson and Jill Chucci all of Winston Salem. Four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Tab and Linda Williams Adult Day Care Center or to Trellis of Winston Salem.
