Geneva Hedrick Brady Gallimore Peterson, 89, of Allred Road, died Friday, February 06, 2009, at Hospice Home at High Point following a serious illness of three weeks.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Joel Smith. Burial will follow in Beck’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Peterson was born December 8, 1919, in Davidson County, to Harvey Lee Hedrick and Bertie Kepley Hedrick. She was owner and operator of Peterson Apartments and Beauty shop at Kure Beach which she operated for 28 years. She was a member of Seaside Chapel in Kure Beach and attended Antioch Baptist Church in Lexington. She was also a member of the Red Hat sisters. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Hedrick; and a sister, Stella Anderson.
Surviving are sons, Bob Brady and wife, Ann, and Richard Brady and wife, Louise, all of Lexington; stepson, Jerry Gallimore and wife, Betty; grandchildren, Scott Brady and wife, Tandra, Philip “Phil” Brady, Lori Burris and husband, Michael, Mark Brady and wife, Leslie and Deric Brady and wife, Mandy; step-grandchildren, Sidney Gallimore and wife, Carol, and Suzanne Kubler and husband, Dan; great-grandchildren, Allie Brady, Kaitlyn Brady, Megan Brady, Hunter Brady, Courtney Brady, Chase Burris and Mason Burris; step-great-grandchildren, Trey, Blake and Jeron Gallimore, Harrison, Bradley and Brian Kubler; a sister, Virginia Myers of Lexington; and an aunt, Lucille Rhodes.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
