Geneva Strickland Skeen

Geneva Strickland Skeen, late of Welcome, NC. She was born in W. VA, daughter of Lorne Boone and Ora Strickland and had lived in Welcome for 39 ½ years Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Bethany United Church of Christ with Rev. Jay Whitley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 until 11:00 am prior to the service. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Paul Victor Skeen and her son, Richard Paul Skeen. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Daniele, husband Tony Daniele; grandson, Matthew Robert Daniele and wife Valeriya Daniele; daughter-in-law, Pixie Setliff Skeen and grandsons David Richard Skeen and Patrick Wayne Skeen; brothers, Keith Strickland, Steve Strickland, Grant Strickland; sisters, Evelyn Will, Doris Hostetter, Edna Brown and Wanda Eagle. For those who knew and loved her, she will be greatly missed. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Hinkle Hospice House, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292, who made her final days and hours comfortable and peaceful.
