Geneva Yarborough

Geneva Kimbrell Yarborough, 97, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Brookstone Assisted Living in Lexington.  Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Center Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Alexander officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation with family and friends will be held at the church from 1 pm to 2 pm prior to the service.  Geneva was born on September 4, 1920 in Davidson County to Thomas Dock Kimbrell and Mary Hayes Kimbrell.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Emanuel Lee Yarborough; brother, Thomas “Dickie” Kimbrell Jr. and sister in-law Frankie  and twin sister, Jeanette and brother in-law Colon Beck and sister Evelyn and brother in-law Luke Koontz; grandson Jody Lee Yarborough.  Surviving is a son, Larry Yarbrough wife Linda, daughter Myra “Susie” DeBruhl; four grandchildren Wendy Stone, Nikki Shaw, Kevin DeBruhl and Christi DeBruhl; nine great grandchildren and three great greatgrandchildren.  In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to Center Hill Baptist Church, 3759 NC Hwy 8, Lexington, NC 27292.
