Genevieve Owens Craver

Genevieve Owens Craver, 76, of Alston Brook Nursing Home, died Thursday, March 30, 2006, at the nursing home after six years of declining health. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Craver was born Oct. 15, 1929, in Porter, N.C., to Iven Gerrow Owens and Genora Briggs Owens. She was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith. Surviving are her husband, France L. Craver; one son, Alexander Boyd Craver and his wife, Joli, of Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Lorie Field and her husband, Gary, of Cumming, Ga.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four brothers, Ralph Owens, Hulin Owens, Horace Owens and his wife, Barbara, and Wilford Owens, all of Lexington; and two sisters, Letha Shoaf and her husband, Max, and Opal Rowe and her husband, John, all of Lexington.
