George Edgar "Eddie" Curry

George Edgar “Eddie” Curry, age 62, of Thomasville passed away Wednesday morning March 7, 2018 at Duke Regional Medical Center in Durham.   A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 11, 2018 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with the Rev. Ray Howell III officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville.   The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30pm until 2:00 pm prior to the service.   Mr. Curry was born on February 9, 1956 in Davidson County to George W. “Jukus” Curry Jr. and Phoebe Shirley Curry. He was a retired loan officer, having worked for LSB. Eddie was a graduate of UNC at Chapel Hill and a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington. He was preceded in death by his parents.   Surviving are his loving wife, Candice Clodfelter Curry of the home; his uncle and aunt, Boyd and Loretta Shirley; and his cousins, Cindy Bowers and Melissa Epley.   Memorials may be directed to Trinity UMC at 609 Liberty Dr. Thomasville, NC 27360, or to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation at 312 N.
