George H. Glenn

George H. Glenn Jr., 78, of Brown Street, died Tuesday, October 01, 2013, at Carolina House, following several years of declining health. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home with the Rev. Freddie Moretz. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013, at the funeral home. Mr. Glenn was born October 22, 1934, in Watauga County, to George H. Glenn Sr. and Texie Greene Glenn. He was a retired supervisor from United Furniture and of the Baptist faith. His parents preceded him in death. Surviving are brothers, Wallace Glenn and wife Roseann and Bill Glenn and wife Wilma, all of Lexington; and sisters, Barbara Humphrey of Lexington and Reba Moretz of Deep Gap.
