George Verlin Hannah

George V. Hannah age 85, of Lexington, NC went home to be with his lord and savior on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at his home with family by his side.

A celebration of life will be held 5:00 pm Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Pastor Dennis Wilson officiating. Family will receive family and friends from 4:00 pm till 5:00 pm prior to service.

George was born August 1, 1937, in Haywood County, NC to Norman Hannah and Mary Hannah. George was known and loved by many. He retired from Proctor and Schwartz, he was also a master automotive mechanic. Honestly, he was a jack of all trades. George also enjoyed working in his garden. Many summer evenings were spent eating watermelon from his garden. He is now reunited with passed loved ones, including both of his parents, his brother Ben Hannah and his sisters, Thelma Sorrells, Josephine Thomas and Bobbie Jean Freeman, Kathlein Willis, son in-law Clifton “Kelly” Brank.

George is survived by his loving wife of 57 years; Patricia Woody Hannah, as well as two children, Teresa Hannah Brank and George Wayne Hannah. Also surviving are his 3 grandchildren, Danielle Brank Lowe (Jordan), Kelly Ann Brank and Charles Reid Brank, as well as his loving sister, Polly Myers..
