George Albert Hiatt

George Albert Hiatt 64 of Winston Salem passed away Monday, July 23, 2012 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center of Myrtle Beach, SC. A funeral service will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Union Grove Baptist Church with Rev. T.W. Bailey and Dr. Harold Fletcher. Burial will follow to the church cemetery. The Hiatt family will receive friends 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday, July 27, 2012 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. George was born in Davidson County on December 17, 1947 to George Astor Hiatt and Margie Rose Long Hiatt. A former employee with Winston-Salem Engraving Company and member of Union Grove Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother; Tony Hiatt, his sisters; Pat Sapp, Sandra Hiatt, Marie Hiatt. Surviving are his wife of 44 years Libby Stanley Hiatt of the home, his son; Chris Hiatt and wife Kim of Lexington, his daughter; Tina Hiatt James and husband Steven, his grandchildren; Devon, Lauren, Marissa, Brandon, his brothers; Lake Hiatt and wife Karen of Rural Hall, Terry Hiatt and wife Robin of King, Gean Hiatt of South Carolina, his sisters; Shirley Beshears of Winston Salem, Lisa of OH.
