George Harrison Humphries

George Harrison Humphries, 36, of Shepps Boat Dock Rd., Lexington, NC died Thursday, March 6, 2014 in Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Ward officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the funeral home. Mr. Humphries was born January 24, 1978 in Davidson County to Walter Smith Humphries and Barbara Glenn Humphries. He was employed with the City of Lexington and was a Volunteer fireman for the Southmont Fire Dept. His father and a brother, Wayne Humphries both preceded him in death. Surviving are is wife, Amanda Ward Humphries of the home; two sons, Jesse Humphries, Joshua Humphries; and two daughters, Savannah. Humphries, Salem Humphries all of the home.
