George Reese Miller

George Reese Miller, age 75 of Greensboro Street Ext. Lexington passed away Monday (January 4, 2011) at his home.  Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Thursday (January 6, 2011) at Pilgrim Reformed Church with Rev. John Bigelow and Rev. George Fidler officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Reformed Church Cemetery.   The family will receive from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Thursday in the church parlor, prior to the service.   Reese was born in Davidson County, February 22, 1935 to Howard Julian Miller and Myrtis Rea Everhart Miller.  He was a retired employee of TFI and worked for several years after retirement with Transit Damage Furniture in Lexington.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives, Shirley Ann Miller and Joann Hedrick Miller, and a brother, Frankie Miller.   Surviving are: one daughter, Barbara Miller Stutz and Fiancee’ Donnie Tritt of Lexington; one son, Doug Miller and wife Diane of Lexington; three step-granddaughters, Tammy Farmer, Kim Clapp, Kelly Kinder; five step-great-grandchildren, Cory, Ryan, Tiffany, Trey, and Ty; two sisters, Ruth Walser of Lexington and Martha Briles of Houston, TX; two brothers, Dennis Miller and Jimmy Miller both of Lexington.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
