George Franklin Spry

George Spry age 85 of Lexington passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at his home.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Pastor Randy Foster officiating.  A burial will follow in the Spry Family Cemetery on Giles Road.

The family will receive family and friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am prior to the service.

George was born in Davidson County to George Thomas Spry and Gertha Link Spry. He retired from R. J. Reynolds and was a member of Tyro United Methodist Church. George is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Madge Spry, sons, Ricky Spry, Bobby Spry and daughter, Wanda Johnson.

Surviving are his wife; Sandra Bishop Spry, son Tony Lynn Spry (Donna), sister Shirley Leonard, 6 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and fur-baby, Sassy May
