Georgia Little Lovell

Georgia Belle Little Lovell, 98, of Hugh Miller Road and formerly of Leonford Street, died Thursday, July 27, 2006, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Revs. Dan Hightower and Ethan Woodward. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Lovell was born Jan. 11, 1908, in Catawba County to George Pinkney Little and Daisy Huffman Little. She was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Lovell; one son, Bobby Lovell; two daughters, Betty Sue Lovell and Peggy Lovell Irvin; four brothers, Frank Little, Mack Little, Fred Little and Claude Little; and three sisters, Lena Jones, Bessie Freedle and Mary Eckart. Surviving are three daughters, Joretta Trantham and her husband, A.L., Becky Bowers and her husband, Bobby, and Brenda Hege and her husband, Bill, all of Lexington; one son-in-law, Charles Irvin of Winston-Salem; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of a granddaughter on Hugh Miller Road, Lexington.
