Clyde Gerald Cooper, 78, of N. County Home Road, died Monday, October 7, 2013, at his home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013, at Grace Missionary Alliance Church, where he was a member, with Pastors Richard Barker and Roy Solvig officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mr. Cooper was born April 23, 1935, in Davidson County, to Clyde David Cooper and Faydene Laughlin Cooper. He retired from the warehouse/shipping department at Lexington Furniture. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Rachel Sue Everhart Cooper of the home; son, Danny Cooper and wife Jeanette of Lexington; grandchildren, Stephanie Cooper, Jonathan Cooper and wife Angela, Christopher Cooper and wife April, all of Lexington; two great-grandchildren, Katelyn Cooper and Kaden Cooper; two step-great-grandchildren, Cassi Scott and Trey Scott; and a sister, Marie Varner and husband Johnnie of Lexington. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Grace Missionary Alliance Church, P.O. Box 308, Linwood, NC 27299.
