Gerald Lawrence Crotts

Gerald Lawrence Crotts, 61 of Crotts Drive, Lexington, died Saturday at his home after an illness of three months. Mr. Crotts was born April 30, 1946 in Davidson County to Lawrence Odell Crotts and Blanche Louya Crotts. He was a member of Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ and was employed with Ploi and Company; he had previous worked for PGT for 39 years. Mr. Crotts is survived by his wife Phyllis Mathis Crotts of the home, sons Jeffery Lawrence Crotts and wife Tammy, Gregory Leonard Crotts, and Terry “TJ” Pitt and wife Meredith; daughters Angela Crotts, and Renee Anderson and husband Brad; brothers Larry Crotts and wife Nancy, Tony Crotts and wife Betty, Craig Crotts and wife Pam, Jerry Crotts and wife Charlene; sisters Shelby York, Janice Shaw and husband Steve all of Lexington; grandchildren Jessica Petteys, Whitney Anderson, Cody Anderson, Corey Crotts, Joshua Anderson, Lacy Anderson, Javen Pitt, Kadence Pitt; a great-grandchild Chase Petteys; brother-in-laws Donald Mathis of Albemarle, Ronald Mathis, and Arnold Mathis; sister-in-laws Barbara Jarvis, Sandra Walser, Linda Gardner, Lisa Hinkle, all of Lexington and Delores Doumas of Clemmons. He is also survived by his first wife Wanda Crotts Britt of Lexington. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J. Lloyd Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home and at other times at the home on Crotts Drive.
