Geraldine Carter Leonard

Geraldine Carter Leonard, age 82, of Elm Drive, Lexington passed away Saturday afternoon at Brookstone Retirement Center.   Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at Linwood United Methodist Church with Rev. Renee Easter officiating. Burial will follow in Linwood Church Cemetery.   The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 pm prior to the service.   Geraldine was born in Davidson County April 28, 1931 to Charles Marcellus and Minnie Beck Carter. She was a retired employee of Davidson Federal Savings and Loan and a member of Linwood United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Burl Bassett Leonard on August 29, 2000.   Surviving are her sons, Mark Leonard (Joy) and Neil Leonard (Tracy) all of Lexington; a brother, June Carter of Charleston, SC.   Memorials may be directed to Humane Society of Davidson County, PO Box 1791, Lexington, NC  27293.     Online Condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
