Geraldine Martin Leonard

Grace Geraldine Martin Leonard, 78, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday May 11, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.

A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Saturday May 15, 2021 at North Lexington Baptist Church, where she was a member, with  Rev. Dr.Robert Floyd and Rev. Gavin Pratt officiating services. Burial will follow at Paul’s Chapel Evangelical and Reformed Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:30 to 3:30 Saturday at the church.

Geraldine was born July 24, 1942 in Davie County to Ralph Bobbett Martin and Hazal Pauline Kiger Martin. She was very active in her church working with the Children’ Ministry, Hearts of Love with the Window Group and sang in the choir. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Lohr Leonard; a daughter, Tammy Sue Leonard;  two brothers, Ralph Martin and Gene “Bobby” Martin, and sister-in-law, Mary Jane Martin.

Surviving are two sons; Wayne Leonard (Rhonda) of Lexington and Tim Leonard (Wendy) of Lexington; a sister, Tootie Langley (David) of Lexington; and a brother Roger Martin (T.C.) of Lexington; 2 grandchildren, Brad Leonard and Josh Leonard, 2 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Clara Martin.

Memorials may be made to North Lexington Baptist Church General Fund 201 Mize Road, Lexington NC 27295.
