Gertrude Everhart Henderson

Mrs. Gertrude Everhart Henderson, 82, of Arrington Drive, died Friday at Lexington Health Care after declining health. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 3, from the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Charles Yarborough officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Henderson was born on October 3, 1925 in Davidson County to Fred Cleveland Everhart and Lena Saines Everhart. She was a charter member of Christ Reformed Church, where she was also a member of the Ladies Guild. Her husband, Roy Culbreth Henderson preceded her in death, as well as her brothers, Woodrow Everhart, and Clifton Everhart; and her sisters, Irene Nance and Lillian Cherry. Surviving are her sons: Tommy Henderson and wife, Diane, of Lexington, and Tim Henderson, and wife, Therese, of Churchland; her grandchildren: Shelley Owens, Michael Henderson, Wesley Henderson, and Lauren Henderson; and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, and other times at their respective homes.
