Gideon Caleb Helton

January 10, 1991 — June 14, 2021

Gideon Caleb Helton, age 30 of Winston-Salem, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 14, 2021.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Beck’s Lutheran Church with Minister Chris Johnson officiating.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm prior to the service at the church.

Gideon was born on January 10, 1991 in Cabarrus County to Arthur Eugene Helton, III and Patience Ferguson Vogel.  He worked in golf course maintenance at Oak Valley Country Club.  Gideon enjoyed playing golf, helping others, fishing and camping.  Gideon was a dedicated father.  He loved spending time teaching his boy how to climb trees, hike, ride bicycles and ride dirt bikes.  He also loved his family and enjoyed cooking out and playing corn hole in the back yard.  He was a loving husband, father, son and brother and will be held forever in our hearts.  He was preceded in death by a son, Trenton Helton, and grandfathers, Gene Helton and Bobby Ferguson.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Brandy Ashley Cox Helton, of the home; son, Griffin Eugene Helton of the home; brothers, Elijah Branch-Romero and Canaan Helton; step-brothers, Lucas Alley, Landon Alley, Charles Vogel, Jr., Anthony Vogel; grandmothers, Lynn Helton, Sherry Chamberlain and life-long best friends, T.J. Smith and Brandon Cox.
