Gilbert “Gil” Eugene Huff, age 49, of Lexington went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Hinkle Hospice House.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 11:00 am at Coggins Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Slaughter and Bishop Keith Bruner officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday at Coggins Memorial Baptist Church and other times at the home.

Mr. Huff was born in Iredell County on October 3, 1969 to Gaynell Gatton Fritts. He was the owner/operator of Huff Masonry, and was a 1987 graduate of North Iredell High. Gil was a wonderful husband and father and his memory will be cherished in the hearts of his family forevermore. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Allison Fritts.

Surviving are his loving wife, Elizabeth Comer Huff of the home; two sons, Gavin Young and Alex Huff of Lexington; one brother, Cory Fritts of Troutman; two sisters, Ronda Johnson (Jon) and Chrissie Medlin (Mark) all of Statesville; three nephews, Dusty Medlin (Halley), Cody Medlin and Jacob Medlin; two nieces, Kaitlyn Fritts and Tonya Taylor (Ian); and two great nephews, Ryder Medlin and Griffin Taylor.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County at 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 or to Coggins Memorial Baptist Church at 1306 S. Main Street, Lexington, NC 27292.
