Gilmer Harold Myers

Gilmer Harold Myers age 99 of Welcome passed away Tuesday March 2, 2021 at Davie Medical Center.

A graveside service will be 2:00 pm Friday at First Baptist Church of Welcome Cemetery conducted by Pastor Mark Blair. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel on Friday from 11 am until 1 pm.

Mr. Myers was born October 11, 1921 in Davidson County to Roy Clifford Myers and Mattie Fritts Myers. He was the oldest member of First Baptist Church of Welcome. He retired from Link Taylor. He honorably served his country in The US Army during WW11. His parents, his wife, Mable Lea Hill Myers and brothers, Hoyle and Billy Myers all preceded him in death.

Surviving are his daughters, Cindy Myers Davis (Dean) and Ronda Myers Holder all of Welcome.

Also surviving are his grandson, Jamie Holder.
