Gina Ruth Jewell Woods, 63, of Lexington passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020 at her home.
A memorial service will be held on her Birthday, July 4, 2020.
Mrs. Woods was born in McDowell County, WV on July 4, 1956 to Charles Willard Jewell, Sr. and Mary Nell Shoemaker Jewell. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Jewell Flippo.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Donald Woods of the home; her children, Pam Kernodle (Chris) of Burlington and Lisa King (Nathan Grubbs) of Welcome; her grandchildren, T.J. and Bryson Rose of Greensboro, and Makayla and Jordan King of Welcome; four brothers, Charles Willard Jewell, Jr. (Kay) of IL, Terry Kevin Jewell of Charlotte, Ricky Howell Jewell (Teresa Johnson) of Mooresville, and Stephen Higganbotham (Tammy) of Harmony; two sisters, Anita Louis Pratt (Eugene) of Monroe and Pam G. Jewell (Cathy Byerly) of Mocksville; and two nephews, Conner Scott Jewell of Charlotte and Charles Tyler Jewell of Harmony.
