Gladys Lois Estep Bunton

Gladys Lois Estep Bunton, 89, of Lexington, passed away January 11, 2024, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A private graveside to celebrate her life will be held by the family.

Gladys was born December 16, 1934, in Avery County, to Clayton James Estep and Frances Guy Estep. Gladys was a devoted member of Union Grove Baptist Church and the church family. She had worked for Parkdale Mills in Lexington. Her passion was her faith, church, family and especially her grandson. She loved her canning, spending time talking with family out of town. Gladys was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who will be missed by all.

Left to cherish her memories are her Husband, Allen Carl Bunton of the home, daughter, Angela Jones of the home, brothers, Joey Estep (Nancy), Randy Estep (Leah), sisters, Carolyn Tysinger (David), Darlene Shook (Harold) all of Lexington; also surviving are her grandson, Matthew Jones of Lexington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292 or to Union Grove Baptist Church, 2295 Union Grove Church Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
