Gladys Luffman Byerly

Gladys Luffman Byerly, age 84 of Numa Byerly Road, passed away Friday morning, July 3, 2015 at Lexington Medical Center. Graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday July 7, 2015 at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Rev. David Langley officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 12:30 until 1:30 Tuesday prior to the graveside service. Gladys was born May 21, 1931 to Mosley M. Luffman and Georgia Cleo Love Luffman. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Elkin and retired owner and operator of Ga-bee Beauty Salon. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elwood McCoy Byerly, Sr., son, Elwood McCoy Byerly, Jr.; sisters, Beulah Baity and Annie Luffman Sneed; brothers, Bobby Lee Luffman and James F. Luffman.
