Gladys "Granny" Wagner, 92, of Lemly Street, Winston-Salem, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Woodland Cemetery, with the Rev. James Chatham and Pastor Don Hackett officiating.
Mrs. Wagner was born June 19, 1915, in Surry County to Timothy Logan McCraw and Nancy Arena McMillan McCraw. She was a faithful dedicated Christian of Elon Baptist Church. She was an employee of Western Electric. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Bevian Wagner; sons Teddy R. Wagner and Donald G. Wagner; daughter Juanita Wagner; brothers Arnold McCraw, Timothy McCraw, William McCraw, Lawrence McCraw and Roy L. McCraw; and sisters Sarah East, Clarcie McMickle, Ethel Lowe, Lela Shelton, Ella Snow and Mary Stull.
Surviving are her sons, Kenneth L. Wagner and wife Carolyn of Winston-Salem and Frank M. Wagner and wife Theresa of Winston-Salem; daughters Norma Griffin of Winston-Salem and Betty Jo Wagner Bourne and husband Billy of Winston-Salem; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Davidson Funeral Home - Hickory Tree Chapel.
