Gladys Irene Head Hine 86 passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 10, 2015 at Midway United Methodist Church with Pastor John Woods, Jr., Rev. Brian Whitaker and Program Minister Amanda Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. A visitation will held from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Gladys was born in Guilford County on September 18, 1928 to William Rufus Head and Sally Marshall Head. She retired from Hanes Brand and was a member of Midway United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dallas Charles Hine; brothers, Robert Head, Hubert Head; sisters, Vera Thomas and Eva Bowman, Louise Sprinkle; great grandson, Brandon Hege. Surviving, a daughter Diane Hine Miller (John) of Midway; son, Ronald Dallas Hine (Becky) of Reedy Creek; brothers, Norman Head (Margie) of Texas; sisters, Thelma Head of CA, Alma Crosby (Charles) of Clemmons, Frances Head of Advance, Laura Head of Advance; grandchildren, Debbie Hege (Mike), Kristi Parks(Chris), Jennifer Miller (special friend Kevin Leonard), Melody Whitaker (Brian); great-grandchildren, Ryan Hege, Dylan and Noah Parks, Sarah and Hannah Whitaker. Memorials may be made to Midway United Methodist Church, General Fund, 9795 Old Hwy 52 South, Lexington, NC 27295 and Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
