Gleata Lynn Smith went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 5, 2021

She was born March 23, 1956 in Davidson County to Leroy Smith Sr. and Mary Holbrook Smith. Lynn attended North Davidson High School and was a member of Landmark United Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Larry Paul Koontz her brother, Larry Smith and sister, Wanda Knote.

A funeral service will be held at Landmark United Pentecostal Church at 5:00 pm on Monday, November 8, 2021 with Pastor Kenneth Marshburn officiating. Burial will be 10:00 am Tuesday at Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery

The family will receive friends from one hour before the service at the church on Monday

Left to Cherish her memories are her daughter, Christy Koontz Knight (Michael) of Lexington; her brother, Leroy “Junior” Smith (Angie) of Silver Valley; sisters, Cindy Smith and Becky Walker both of Lexington; one granddaughter, Jocelin Marshburn (Cody) of Lexington

The family would like to thank Cancer Treatment Center of Lexington, Cancer Services of Davidson County and to Hinkle Hospice for their love and care they gave Lynn during her illness.
