William Glen Byerly, 80, of Reedy Creek Rd., Lexington died Saturday, February 16, 2008 in Forsyth Medical Center. A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mr. Byerly was born July 17, 1927 in Davidson County to Robert Sidney Byerly and Perry Younts Byerly. Co owner and operator of Byerly Brothers Used Cars since 1956, he was a veteran of the US Army during WW II, and a member of the VFW. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Von Byerly, Neil Byerly and a sister, Faye Shellorn. Surviving are his wife, Ann Howell Byerly of the home; sons, Scott Byerly and, Teresa, Jeffrey Glen Byerly, Clegg Byerly, Robert Byerly and wife Amy all of Lexington; daughters, LaRue Kennedy of Thomasville, Felicia Springer and husband, Rick of Lexington; sisters, Betty Brown and husband, Roy of Lexington and Lora Caputy of Arlington, VA., a brother-in-law, Jerry Howell and wife, Jean, 10 grandchildren, Michael Glen Kennedy and wife, Beth, Heath Younts and wife, Kelly, Kelli Springer, Nicole Byerly, Brooke Byerly, Ashley Byerly Dustin Glen Byerly, Sydney Byerly, Monica Watkins, Jason Watkins and 4 great grandchildren, Lainey Younts, Lucas Kennedy, Byerly Kennedy and Rylee Payne The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, February 18, 2008 and other times at the home. Memorials may be directed to The Arc of Davidson County Annual Beach Trip, 6 Vance Circle, Lexington, NC 27292
