Glenn David Shoaf, 67, of Conrad Sowers Road in Lexington, passed away Friday September 3, 2021 at his home.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Monday at Bethesda United Methodist Church with family friend Sandra Phillips officiating services. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel.
David was born December 22, 1953 in Davidson County to Glenn Roscoe and Freda Essick Shoaf. He was preceded in death by his father.
Surviving is his wife Barbara Young Shoaf of the home; his mother, Freda Essick Shoaf of Lexington; his daughter Leslie Shoaf of Lexington; his son Anthony Chavis (Lilia) of Lexington; his sister Myra Spach (Mick) of Tennessee; 3 grandchildren, Anthony Chavis Jr., Yasmeen Chavis and Nora Schmid; 1 great-grandchild Natalia Chavis; a nephew Patrick Spach (Abigal); great nephew Cooper Spach and great niece Lisette Spach.
The family would like to say a special thank you to his nephew, Caleb Schreffler; caregivers Sandra Craver, Althea Hairston, Betty Hardin; and a special friend Missy West.
