Glenda Dameron Leonard

Glenda Dameron Leonard, age 79 of Tyro Road, Lexington passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Trinity Oaks in  Salisbury.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday September 29, 2019 at Tyro United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Foster officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the church fellowship hall from 1:30 until 3:00 pm prior to the service.

Glenda was born in Davidson County December 14, 1939 to Paul Glenn Dameron and Lillian Walser Dameron. She was a graduate of Reeds High School and attended Womens College in Greensboro. She was a retired employee of Davidson County Schools having served as a Teachers Assistant  and secretary at Tyro Middle School. She was a member of Tyro United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir, United Methodist Women, UMY counselor and served on various other committes.

Surviving are her loving husband of 61 years, Briggs Leonard of the home; son, Christopher Briggs Leonard (Karen) of Fletcher, NC; three grandchildren, Justin, Samuel and Kate; sister, Jill Wood (Danny) of Lexington.
