Glenn Brinkley

Herman Glenn Brinkley, 81, of Tall Pines Road, died Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Forsyth Medical Center. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Testimonial Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Carl Sutton officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mr. Brinkley was born May 3, 1930, in Davidson County, to Herman Lee Brinkley and Ethel Rose Grubb Brinkley. He served in the U.S. Army and was retired from PPG. At his church he was a Sunday school teacher and served as a Deacon. Surviving are his wife, Shelby Dean Carpenter Brinkley of the home; son, Darrell Lee Brinkley and wife, Lorie Ann, of Lexington; daughter, Lisa Brinkley Pennell of Lexington; granddaughter, Selena Brinkley; brother, Larry Brinkley and wife, Connie, of Advance; and son-in-law, Rodney Pennell.
