Glenn Robert Byerly, age 75, of Lexington passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Pastor Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday at Davidson Funeral Home. Mr. Byerly was born in Davidson County on May 16, 1942 to Grady Henderson Byerly and Thelma Thompson Byerly. He was a retired truck driver, having worked for Comers Trucking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two half-brothers, Elwood Craver and Clifford Phillips; two sisters, Helen Brindle and Lois Garner; and two half-sisters, Peggy Hill and Dorothy Collins. Surviving are his son, Eric McDaniels (Kimberly Douglas) of Lexington; nine grandchildren, Hunter McDaniels, Shawn McDaniels, Justin McDaniels, Keith McDaniels, Ahleigha McDaniels, Jacquline McDaniels, Kaitlin McDaniels, Gannon Douglas, and Serenity Beck; nieces, Susan Long (Ray Senkus), Thelma Brindle, and Tammy Wahl (Darrell); nephews, Jerry Brindle Jr. and Jonathan Brindle; great nieces, Amanda Hill, Felicia Long, Shannon Marlow, Melanie Guy, and Gail Wright; and great nephews, Steven Marlow, Chris Wahl , and Brandon Wahl.
