Glenn (Donny) Donald Wood

Glenn Donald (Donny) Wood, 55 of Whitman Drive, Lexington died Friday at Forsyth Medical Center after declining health of seven months. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am Tuesday June 6, 2006 at Bethesda United Methodist Church where he was a member. Officiating will be Rev. Doug Hochmuth and Brother David Hedrick. Burial will follow in the Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Wood was born in Davidson County on November 10, 1950 to Troy Wood and Peggy Baker Wood. He was employed with PPG. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife Paulette Casey Wood of the home; one son, William Troy Wood and wife Sara of Lexington; A Grandaughter, Madelyn Grace Wood of Lexington and his Stepfather Norman Drum of Thomasville. Also surviving is a Brother, James Daniel Wood of Lexington and a Sister Judy Sherrill of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, and at other times at the home on Whitman Drive. Memorials may be directed to the Family Life Center, Bethesda United Methodist Church, 2922 Bethesda Rd., Lexington, NC 27295. The family would like to extend Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Eugene Pashold, his staff, and the entire ninth floor oncology unit at Forsyth Medical Center for the excellent care given to Donny during his illness.
