Glenn Huff, age 75, of Happy Hill Court, Lexington passed away Thursday (Dec. 29, 2011) at Forsyth Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 4:30 pm Saturday in the Mausoleum Chapel of Forest Hill Memorial Park. Entombment will follow with military honors.
There will be no public visitation, however the family will receive friends at his home and the home of his daughter Tammie Grimmett, 106 Bremen Drive, Lexington.
Glenn was born in Yadkin County, NC April 22, 1936 to Wesley Eugene Huff and Maxie Mae Mikles Huff. He was a retired truck driver with J.P. Stevens Company and after retirement worked for Leggett and Platt. He was a veteran of the US Navy, member of American Legion Post 8, VFW Post 3074 and Amvets Post 13. He was also a member of Loyal Order of the Moose, Lexington Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Phyllis B. Huff and two twin grandsons, Derek Spencer Coffey and Tyler Wesley Coffey.
Surviving are; his daughters, Tammie Grimmett and husband Russell of Lexington; Terri Garrison and husband Ric of High Point, Tina Coffey and husband Diamond of Harrisonville, MO and Debbie Hepler and husband David of Lexington; five grandchildren, Jonathan Baker, Mandy fox, Lori Davis, Stephanie Hartley and Shanyne Coffey; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Maxine Humphrey and Hilda Turner both of Lexington.
