Glenna Jones Comer

Glenna Rose Jones Comer, 78, of Sumter, South Carolina, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 3 ^rd in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Greene officiating.  Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Comer was born July 8, 1943, in Davidson County to Fred Albert Jones and Elsie Odessie Phillips Jones. She was manager for McCroy-McClellans of Sumter for 40 years and retired from Sumter Bank.  Ms. Comer was a member of East Side Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Fred Jones.

Surviving is her husband, James Wesley Comer; one sister, Flora Brown (Roger); 5 nieces, Lisa Greene (Jimmy), Lori Owens (Gary), Regina Harris (William), Amy Rhoton (Dennis), Jennifer Brown; one nephew, Roger Brown and her pet dog, Brandy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Higher Ground Baptist Church, 163 Gene Hege Road, Lexington, NC 27295.
