Gloria June Whittington Brooks

Gloria June Whittington Brooks, 74, of Lexington, NC, died at her home July 3, 2023.

A funeral service will be held at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, Friday July 7, 2023, 2:00 pm, with Rev. David Kelley officiating.  A burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Family will visit with family and friends Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 6-8 pm at Davidson Funeral Home.

Gloria was born July 10, 1948, in Davidson County to W.B (June) and Myrtle Leonard Whittington. She was formerly employed as a type-setter at the Lexington Dispatch and enjoyed cake decorating and her grandchildren.  She was a member at Shiloh Methodist Church in Lexington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Dermont (Pete) Brooks; her son, Dane Brooks, brother, Craig Whittington, and granddaughter, Molleigh Dublin.

Left to cherish her memories is her daughter Amanda Dublin, of Lexington; sisters, Diana Barbee and Kim Myers (Mike), grandchildren; Addison Dublin and Grayson Dublin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shiloh Methodist Church and/or Hospice of Davidson County.
